This topic “To Feel One’s Self Close to Allah” is one of the topics from book “Allah The Cherisher”. Written by Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman Badshah. The topic was initially in Urdu language, and later translated in English by Mr. Fateh-ul-Milk.

No doubt, ALLAH is near to human beings a statement having no parallel. On the other hand, to feel one ’s self-close to Allah is quite a different assertion. Rather to be more exact ‘a state of self’.

Actually, ALLAH is the nearest or closest to His Creation.

A question arises, how does one feel himself in close contact with Him?

Anyone; who strives hard to draw nigh to ALLAH is apt to find Him the nearest even of his jugular vein. Because He says:

ALLAH is the Noor (Light) of the heavens and the earth.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Noor-35)

Withers ever you turn, there is ALLAH’s Face.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Baqarah-115)

When My servants ask you concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them).

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Baqarah-186)

And He is with you wheresoever you may be.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Hadid-4)

For We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Qaf-16)

Then why do you not (intervene) (when the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat.

And you the while (sit) looking on. But We are nearer to him than you, and yet see not.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Waqu’a-83-85)

We would have been in the state to feel ourselves near and close to Him. Alas!

If we have not given undue weight age to the so often repeated misunderstood terms. like. Vacuum, Space, Time, Eternity and Nature.

It is, of course, on account of such assertions that we (the human beings) have concealed ourselves. Within these terms and lost the capability to observe the display of His Live Action. And to know the meaning of the word ‘Rabb’, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Another cause of such misinterpretation or usage is to assign the fellow human beings with the titles kingship, ministry, presidency and sovereignty. Also the invention of designations such as authorities, chiefs and administrators resulted in indifference to understand the work of ‘ELAH’. Let them listen the advice of Yusuf in order to become aware of their invented terms.

“O my two companions of the prison! (I ask you) are many lords differing among themselves better, or ALLAH the One, Supreme and Irresistible? Whatever you worship apart from Him is nothing but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which ALLAH has sent down no authority. The command is, for none but ALLAH. He has commanded that you worship none but Him; that is the right religion, but most men understand not.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Yusuf-39-40)

To ponder over the above verse. A corollary in respect to names invented by us and our forefathers invites our attention. Evidently, these could not be included among those “names” whose supremacy even to Angels confirmed the reality exposed to Adam. A-number-of such verses are there for our serious consideration.

These are nothing but names which you have devised, you and your fathers, for which ALLAH has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture (theories) and desires! Even though there has already come to them guidance from their ‘Rabb’

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Yusuf-39-40)

Perchance we may mix these names with those on account of which the Angels feel prostrate before Adam.

In this misconception we might strive hard to act upon them and they may turn out mere conjectures.

It is just possible; that such names include lot of those which we have invented ourselves.

Lest, it should have no importance in the sight of ALLAH. (For detailed discussion please turn to chapter “Ar-Rabb”).

Western terminologies, theories and laws may kindly be studied most cautiously. Particularly by Muslims, as the disbelievers are groping in darkness to find the secrets of universe.

They try in vain to uncover the realities of the universe with the knowledge. Which itself is subject to lot of scrutinizes.

They are destined to wonder in the wilderness with no objectives to achieve. The selection of the right path is possible only through knowledge which guarantees absolute truthiness. Such a knowledge is a revealed one-with no drawbacks and hundred percent perfection. No doubt, this is from ALLAH only.

The nation full of worldly grandeur is nothing but a satanic trap leading to heart – breakdown and failure.

Let not the strutting about of the unbelievers through the land deceive you. Little is for it enjoyment; their ultimate abode is Hell.

What an evil bed (to lie on).

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-e-Imran-196-197)

With whatever splendor and advancement we are awe-stricken is nothing as compared to one your ‘Rabb’ wishes to confer upon them. Why does He withhold it? It is for our sake. If we are bewitched and paralyzed with such a small splendor and grandeur what to say about that our ‘Rabb’ wishes to grant them. Then guess the result and influence of it, nothing but our complete destruction.

And were it not that (all) men might become one community. We could provide, for everyone that blasphemes against the Most Gracious, silver roofs for there houses, and (Silver) stairways on which to go up.

And (silver) doors to their houses, and couches (of silver) on which they could recline, and also adornments of gold. But all this was nothing but enjoyment of the present life; the hereafter, in the sight of your ‘Rabb’ is for the righteous.

If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint for him a Satan, to be an intimate companion to him.

Such (Satans) really hinder them from the path, but they think that they are being guided aright!

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Az-Zukhruf-33-37)

“Do they think that because we have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, we would hasten them on in every good? Nay they do not perceive.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Muminun-55-56)

“Nor strain your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to parties of them, the splendor of the life of this world, through, which We test them, but the provision of your ‘Rabb’ is better and more enduring.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Ta-Ha-131)

“Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter, to them We shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein, -without diminution they are those for whom there is nothing in the hereafter but the fire. Vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect are the deeds that they do!”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Hud-15-16)

“But the unbelievers, their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing; but he finds ALLAH there, and ALLAH will pay him his account, and ALLAH is swift in taking account, or The unbelievers ‘state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds; depths of darkness, one above another; if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! For any to whom ALLAH giveth not light, there is no light!

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Noor-39-40)

“Do the unbelievers think that they can take My servants protectors besides Me? Verily We have prepared Hell for the unbelievers for (their) entertainment. Say; Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds? Those whose efforts have been wasted on this life, while they thought they were acquiring good for their works. They are those who deny the sings of their ‘Rabb’ and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the hereafter); vain will be their works, non shall We on the Day of Judgment, given them any weight. That is their reward, hell; because they rejected Faith and took My sings and My messengers by way of jest.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Kahf-102-106)

A point for serious consideration. Do the developed nations act according to the Revealed Book or do they turn a deaf ear to it?

If they are spending lives quite contrary to its teaching, who will consider them to be on the right-path? Be cautious, what type of criterion do you have at your disposal. Beware of worldly grandeur, attractive scenes and handsome phenomena and luxurious lives.

Lest, the hunter (Satan) may entrap and ensnare you and may not draw a desirable conclusion.

The challenge of the Satan to ALLAH is definitely has too much attraction. For the human beings to lead them astray.

“He (Satan) said; My ‘Rabb’! Because you have sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth and shall mislead them everyone.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Hijr-39)

And he (Satan) is supposed to spread the trap of atonement everywhere to ensure,

“He (Satan) said; Now, because you have sent me astray, verily I shall lurk in ambush for them on your right path.

Then I shall come upon them from before them and from behind them and from their right hands and from left hands, and you will not find most of them beholder (unto you).”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-A’raf-16-17)

Be careful, at the climax of this path, you will hardly find any point for return. Do you not expect the explosions of atom and hydrogen bombs to end the present civilization? Is the path leading to Eternity or will it end at annihilation? Judge if for yourself. Be just and impartial in your decision, lest you will have to face calamity, Alas! O for the Muslim Nation! May ALLAH protect us from the evil consequences of the unbelievers?

“ALLAH is the protector of those who have faith, from the depth of the darkness He leads forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the Taghut from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (forever).”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Baqarah-257)

Although “Taghut” includes everything except ALLAH, but if we keep into mind the part of Sura Az-Zukhruf (verses-33-37), then “Though” means those devils who accompany the un-believers and instruct them “new terms”.

“Satans ever inspire their friends.”

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-An’am-121)

Those Satans try their best to inspire conjectures (wrong theories) to their followers and instruct others to believe in them. If during their experimentation, observations and research they come across such events which are closely related to Angles. As they do not believe in the unforeseen, therefore, they assigned females names to them. Such as photon, meson or virtual gravitational particles, etc.

Those who believe not in the hereafter, name the Angles with female names. But they have no knowledge therein, they follow nothing but conjecture, and conjecture avails nothing against truth.

Therefore, shun those who turn away from our remembrance and desire nothing but the life of this world.

That is their attainment of knowledge verily your ‘Rabb’ knows best those who stray from His path, and He knows best those who receive guidance.

Verses From the Holy Qur’an (Al-Najm-27-30)

I have quoted few verses from the Holy Qur’an. So that the theories of the scientists and philosophers might not obstruct the way of those who are in search of truth.

Moreover; this is particularly for the sake of the Muslims to ponder over the teachings; of the so called scientists and philosophers in the light of the teaching of the Holy Qur’an so that they may take refuge under the sigh of the Holy Qur’an. “Science” is an English word, and the Holy Qur’an is in Arabic. That is why the Holy Qur’an refers to science by the word “Sehr”, call the scientists “Yzaun’noon. (one who invent theories and follow conjecture). And refers to philosophers by the word “Khur’rasoon”. (those who try their best to find mental solutions for the problems without taking benefit of the revelation).
